  2. About QuarkXPress Filter

  4. This filter allows Cumulus¬ to catalog QuarkXPress documents. These files have the file type: ╥XDOC╙.

  6. The thumbnail shown for the image depends on whether the QuarkXPress document contains a preview or not. If a preview is present, it is used for the thumbnail. If no preview can be found, a QuarkXPress document icon is used as the thumbnail.

Documents saved with QuarkXPress 3.2 or newer versions have a preview if the corresponding option in the Save dialog is checked. A preview can be added in earlier versions of QuarkXPress if the ╥Preview Editor╙ XTension by Vision's Edge, Inc, is used. Note, however, that Cumulus requires the preview to be saved at 100% size by Preview Editor, not as a thumbnail, in order to be able to correctly calculate the document½s height and width.

  10. PreviewEditor 2.0 stores additional information into the layout document. This information is evaluated by the filter and displayed in the type-specific information window:
